Omar is a Partner of Noverra Consulting and Capital Partners. His investment and advisory a work has spanned a broad range of organizations across the Business Services, Telecommunications, Transportation, Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Manufacturing, Distribution, Alternative Energy, and Government sectors.
Omar has been a principal, business owner, board director or advisory board member of companies in the business services, distribution, municipal services and technology industries. In addition, he has been an advisor to senior executives and boards of organizations ranging from early stage high-growth companies to multi-billion dollar, multi-national enterprises.
Omar was formerly a Senior Partner and Member of the Board of Directors at RPO Management Consultants, a boutique strategy consultancy with a national Canadian practice. RPO was acquired by the Secor Group (www.secorgroup.com).
In addition to his business and entrepreneurial pursuits, Omar is passionate about the community and is actively involved through board and advisory roles in various not-for-profit organizations. Currently, Omar sits as a member of the Campaign Cabinet for the United Way of the Lower Mainland; and, a Board Director of the Quest Food Exchange.
Omar graduated with an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), as well as a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from the Sauder Business School at UBC. In addition, he has completed several executive education programs in corporate finance, corporate growth, and leadership at various leading business schools including INSEAD and the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. For the last three years, Omar has also lectured on Business Strategy for the Sauder Business School’s EMBA and Executive Learning Programs.
